Sokka's finally getting an upgrade, love how this episode showed off his importance and got him a master to learn from. The biggest shock from this though was seeing Iroh's transformation! 🤯

I think one of the most interesting choices the creators made was the Fire Nation having the most beautiful landscapes in the world. They based a lot of it on real places in Iceland. The water fall in this episode is almost an exact copy of the Gullfoss Falls.

Oh wow, just looked it up and it’s identical!! Love this direction of the Fire Nation looking so beautiful, such a juxtaposition of what I immediately think of Fire like Volcanoes and burnt trees or something. It’s so cool that this place is not only beautiful but also the most beautiful of all the nations, it’s like the creators want to subconsciously make you think they’re not that bad, the setting plays a big part in adding to a story, a dark and cold setting can be seen as evil and dangerous whereas a light and green one can look peaceful and happy. Honestly it pushes the point further that the Fire Nation itself isn’t the bad guy but the ones who are in control of it are.
