What in the ancient freaky history is this thing!?! Honestly loved getting more exploration on the past of the galaxy, and having it from the perspective of the Batch and not Jedi made it really interesting!

Hi Man

The Zeffo are pretty interesting and I'm really glad we got to see them explored a bit in mainstream Star Wars media, other than video games. Even though their culture and history is heavily explored in the Jedi fallen order video game series they are still a very misterious part of Star Wars and they were actually able to wield the Force before the Jedi were even a thing. But back then they called it "Life Wind" and those who were able to wield it were known as "sages". They are pretty interesting and if you have the time I would definitely recommend playing the Jedi fallen order games in the future. They are some of my favourite Star Wars games. Also I think the reason Echo isn't getting as much development as the rest of them at this point is because he is already a pretty well defined character. I mean chronologically we have seen him go from a Cadet with the Domino squad where he was very much a by the book person and repeated every order which is why his name is Echo. To stepping up on the Rishi moon and earning a place in the 501st. And eventually being promoted to an ARC Trooper leading to his sacrefice at the Citadel, to then being rescued in season 7 and him having to deal with his new robotic self and eventually bringing the Republic a victory over Trench. When you compare his present to when he was a cadet, he is basically a completely different character. So when this show first started he was easily the most developed character from the group so I think that's why the creators decided to focus on the other guys more since they really needed it. But more Echo stuff is defintitely coming in the future so don't worry. And to answer you question about how long the Republic has been around. The Republic was founded 25.000 years before a new hope. And the first Jedi Order (back then it was called the Je'daii Order) was founded about 26.000 before a New Hope. So the Zeffo civilization is older than the Republic and Jedi which makes them one of the oldest ancient civilizations in the galaxy. Although they are now thought to be extinct.

I already wanted to play the Jedi games and was just waiting till I can figure out how to best record it or steam it but now am more excited than ever! It seems so weird that there were things before the Jedi and like the name is so cool too. Seeing that get explored here was so interesting with it being from the point of view of people with no real ties to the force. True we have seen Echo go through a lot but that was all in Clone Wars and with this being a separate show it just feels like he gets pushed aside like Tech in season 1, I feel like there is so much to build off just from him joining the bad Batch and becoming a cyborg. Happy to hear more Echo stuff is coming cause I really just want like some focus on how he adapted to being a cyborg, it happened so quickly and he never really gave it much thought but I know I’ll be happy as soon as he gets some focus. Thanks for the age of the Republic and that is WAY older than I thought it was, I was going by Mortis God's age which for some reason I thought was 3000, it honestly makes it more impressive that it was around that long and only started getting corrupted towards the end. Plus it makes Palpi’s accomplishment seem even greater that he was able to topple a 25,000-year-old society. Definitely want more on the Zeffo now after that episode cause just from seeing that death machine I have to wonder what was going on before the Jedi were around.
