Here is my full length unedited reaction for Steven Universe! This only includes my reaction and thoughts. The video for the show is blurred and muted because of copyright, and I’m not trying to get in trouble. There is no intro. I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. As always there are some neat references to previous seasons in this episode... That weird cylindrical structure that is positioned behind the Portal that Steven, Pearl and Connie came through looks remarkably similar if not identical to the Wailing Stone Artifact from the episode "The Message" of Season 1, the one where Lapis sends a message to earth to warm Steven about the coming of Peridot and Jasper. We know from the episode "Rose's Room" that the Wailing Stone is a Device designed to send and receive audio messages, so the fact that we see a Giant Version of it just sitting there in the Wilderness could potentially mean that it was the one that received messages from Reeeeeeally far away in the Cosmos and then send it again on a Global scale to the other small Wailing Stones. But that is all just speculation since im pretty sure there was never a confirmation or statement about it from the Crewniverse. "Stance wide, Body Lowered" and "Balance it's the Key"... those phrases that Connie and Pearl say to each other on the Walkie-Talkie are some of the Lyrics of the "Do it For Her" Song from the episode "Sworn to the Sword" from Season 2, which is the episode where Connie began to train under Pearl.

Steven and Connie are always so darling with each other, aww. Love getting fun little bonding moments with those two. Also Connie would absolutely survive the world of Fallout, IMO. She's got the guts. She's got the wilderness know-how. I'd believe in her. Yeah, no, the fandom was NOT expecting Jasper to show up out of nowhere in this one back when it aired. Total left field moment, but definitely a very hype one. Her outright RIPPING the gem out of that one corruption was so gnarly, ouuuuch! Can't imagine that felt great for that poor being.
