Here is my full length unedited reaction for Steven Universe! This only includes my reaction and thoughts. The video for the show is blurred and muted because of copyright, and I’m not trying to get in trouble. There is no intro. I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. But it always starts at 00:00:00. Must have your own copy to watch along with, since I can't offer that due to copyright laws. Streamer: Max

This is definetely one of my favorite slice of life episodes of the show, it's full of really funny moments that don't feel out of character... but i hate it at the same time.... they did my boy Ronaldo dirty, his girlfriend Jane broke up with him because he went along with Steven's plan to stop the war.... he wanted to do something good and selfless and the poor guy was punished for it. The worst part is that it looked like he couldn't even clarify the misunderstanding so the break up was permanent..... that's really rough. I know Steven didn't intend for this to happen but im still holding him accountable for it. Also you probably forgot but you have already seen Jane before, she works at the Beach City Theater and was there when Steven, Connie and Lion fought against that flying training robot (The episode was "Lion 2: The Movie" in Season 1). There's also a Fun Fact regarding that Movie Jane borrowed from Ronaldo called "Koala Princess"..... but since you haven't seen "OK KO Let's Be Heroes" there's not much of a point in telling it. Yes, that scene of Kofi and Fryman tasting Steven's food.... was definetely Anime-inspired, it could have been a direct reference to Shokugeki No Soma (Food Wars for the non-weebs) but i don't know if that's the case or not. Also i gotta say........ Pearl in Waitress outfit definetely woke something in me the first time i saw it back in 2016 xdddd.

Yeah, Steven owes Ronaldo a BIG apology. This episode always makes me pretty mad at him for that reason -- he's normally much more empathetic but here he barely notices or cares that Ronaldo is upset. (The real-life Keep Beach City Weird Tumblr blog entries for this episode suggested that Ronaldo was able to make things right with Jane, thankfully, but I wish it had been in the episode.)

This is my absolute favorite "Townie" focused ep, it's just SO funny ahahah. I adore how melodramatic all the little episode section cards are... RESTAURANT WARS: FIRST STRIKE and all that. The comedic timing is so on point throughout, and it's very fun watching all the youth of the boardwalk scheme and plot together. Everyone above already talked about it, but... yeah. No, I really, really feel bad for Ronaldo here. I'm not the hugest fan of him as a character to be honest, but he was literally just trying to help resolve this chaos, and instead the poor guy gets into a mess that loses him his girlfriend. Like dang, if someone says they have a partner, maybe believe them? Ooof. I still laugh at his "I'm full- of SADNESS!" line, though. I feel kinda horrible for doing so, but it's delivered so well lmao. Also am quite delighted that the Gems are just totally down to participate in Steven's fun little restaurant nonsense that evening. It really shows how much closer they've all become and how much they've let loose over the series so far... because I doubt they'd be willing to drop everything and pretend to open a restaurant way back at the beginning of season one, ahah. "More important" things to do, and all that. But now? For Steven? They'd do anything for that boy ;w;
