Here is my full length unedited reaction for ADVENTURE TIME! This only includes my reaction and thoughts. There is no intro. I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. This is widely considered to be Adventure Time's first Lore-Heavy Episode, there always has been hints about a grander story... like the post-apocaliptic elements hidden in the background.... but this is the first time those same post-apocaliptic elements are the center of an episode in the show. Don't know if you heard it since you talked over it... but Princess Bubblegum mentioned that the stomps she tasked Finn and Jake to root out were once Trees chopped by her "Uncle Gumbald", which is a curious little piece of lore about her... it's interesting to think that Bubblegum might have relatives out there somewhere. We meet Susan Strong, a very interesting and mysterious character indeed. Given that Susan and the rest of her Tribe look pretty much like humans when they have their hats on... we can assume their ancestors might have been humans but who's descendants became some kind of fish-mutants. By the way... this tribe of mutants are officially called "Hyoomans" xddd. Also it is worth noting that... even tho they're not humans... they do wear Animal-themed Hats the same way Finn does... which is very interesting given that Finn has never interacted with them before. Finally Susan Strong is voiced by Jackie Buscarino, who is yet again another prominent figure in the animation industry... She was a Production Assistant in shows like SpongeBob SquarePants and Dexter's Laboratory She was the voice of Pacifica Northwest in Gravity Falls. And she also was a Producer in Steven Universe... as well as being the voice of Onion's Mom Vidalia. Short Reminder that you absolutely must skip the Intro of episode 6 of Season 3.
