Oof, thought it was going to be smooth sailing when she started reading instructions. Also is it just me, or were the lug nuts already broken loose? Hopefully intentionally to make it easier to do, but if not...good thing they ended up changing that one...

Sometimes the lug nuts are super stuck on there, I’m surprised they loosened so easily.

I'm a similar age to Lily - I think the last time I changed a tyre was around 20 years ago when my dad got me to do it. Cars suck, public transport rules.

For what it's worth, I would have no idea how to change a tire either. Apparently some cars ship standard with "run flat" tires that will let you drive a little bit further to get to an auto shop. 🤷

I don't think you need to place the jack under the axle. You can just prop it under the side of the car directly in line between the 2 wheels but closer to the tire you are about to change. Then it is much easier to turn the screw mechanism using the hook thing and the L shaped lug nut remover thingy. That is how we do it for Indian cars. Not sure if it is different for American cars
