After getting taxes squared away there's been zero growth, actually negative growth, when it comes to sales and exposure. Folks here are doing more than their part, as the majority of income is from Patreon & Twitch with some fan support and ad revenue for what actually still makes ad rev on YT, but if you have any suggestions on how to actually grow. Reach more eyes? Let me know! 'Cause I have no ideas at this point.

People were easier to reach years ago, but generally now, even getting exposure is an uphill struggle. Everyone is a content creator and the slow roll of animation & creating comics is getting to the point where it's working against everything. Meaning, I can only animate so many episodes a year, while everyone else just films their cat or something, churning out 50 videos a month, when, with animation, I can do about 30 episodes a year. Statistically, it just gets lost by the sheer volume of content available.

The Twitch streams & Steve stuff are a fun side projects and they do generate content, but it's not Foamy stuff. (Steve is going to be the closest to Foamy as far as character personalities go, but their deadpan approach to things is not going to reach a larger audience for some reason.) A Vtuber Foamy has been suggested, but honestly, Foamy doesn't like humans. So, having a squirrel yell at people in real time, live... not gonna help anyone. With people being so sensitive everywhere, the channel would just get constantly reported by people who got their feelings hurt by a cartoon. So, I don't think that's on the table. (And it would be silly to pull back Foamy's rage for the sake of sparing some human's feelings. That's not what Foamy does.)

Pilz-E might be a good choice, but vocally, I can only maintain his antics for so long before it really messes up the vocal chords. 20 minutes tops.

So I'm in this weird position right now where everything I like doing, doesn't generally gain any exposure, or just gets forgotten about because of the time needed between episodes.

As finances go, since YT's adpocalypse, everything has been in a slow decline. Episode views went from 200k per episode, down to 20k almost instantly. So something happened behind the scenes that unfortunately rippled out leaving the channel largely forgotten by people who inevitably got distracted by an endless alternative supply of content.

I'll keep doing what I'm doing because it's essentially what I feel I've been put here for, but at some point, there needs to be some new growth or things are just going to fall apart. So suggestions of any kind are appreciated.

For future stuff, I do have a ton of things I want to work on, which I don't want to spoil quite yet, but messing around with AI Art has been a huge inspiration that's been more motivating than anything else has been in the last few years. So, mentally, I'm committed to creating new things, but it's difficult to stay motivated when it reaches so few.

SO LET'S GO!

Looking for Suggestions for growth on YT, Twitch or Where Ever!

(and yes, I'm already on TikTok for some reason. Which is more random than Pilz-E as far as exposure goes. Financially it's barely coffee money.) :/

I know it's yet another app but have you considered trying Mastodon? One of the other creators I follow has been having success on it at least with getting people to see their stuff as it doesn't have an algorithm that can shut you out. They were having the same problem with Twitter. While they're still on Twitter mostly to watch it burn down they announced that they were moving to Mastodon. They rebuilt and have actually gained followers there. You could use it to push the merch store more. If you posted to it as much as you do to Patreon you would likely pop up several times a day in the feed.

This kind of sucks because I keep running into people whenever I have my foamy shirts or hoodie on who used to watch the show but, it's gotten buried. I tell them if you can't find foamy on YouTube go right to his website illwillpress.com. He's still doing stuff and has expanded what he's doing.

Strange idea, but if you wanted to try the Vtuber thing with a squirrel, maybe Begley is the way to go. The "anime EVERYTHING" angle does seem to be prevalent enough nowadays that it might resonate well with folks. That said, while I know it'd never happen, a Germaine OnlyFans would be rather hilarious to contemplate.

The VTuber model of Foamy may not work for livestreams, but it could work for his rants and discussions. The ones where he just talks at the camera for a couple minutes on various subjects, trying to get people to think about things. You did Puppet Foamy for a few episodes that way, maybe a VTube version would work better in those instances. The only thing it wouldn't be viable for is the Nuerotically Yours series, since there's so many additional characters to do it for and animation would be more convenient in those. Still, only having to animate half as much as you used to would be a huge time and effort saver, you could put out more Foamy content overall!

I hate to say this, but, remember that picture of all the girls in the pool? Sweet Anita revealed that a pretty girl being abusive and demeaning can get a lonely nerd to empty his wallet in no time flat. A Twitch hosted by any or all of the girls in saucy bikinis being demanding might just turn that frown upside down, as the stomach churning phrase goes. I'll probably hate myself in the morning but I may as well dood it. I mean post this. Bon chance, me ami.

Also, that AI can't draw hands to save itself. A Terminator knows more about human anatomy.

Sorry I have a bad budget situation so I couldn't keep buying on Etsy. I still want to but have to eat first.
