So Foamy needs recovery time this week. My Bill and Ted head cannon is that a Doctor Who fan got a hold of a TARDIS and made the crystal that re-formats to the telephone booth as an interface to it. Form determined by the time Rufus input as the target era. But the actual time machine remains in the future and connects to active times through the temporal conduits you see as they travel. Everything to do with the being chosen is based on a reality that may never come to exist. I actually would have liked it better had the robot versions been the real ones who could play but who knows what happened to wat was left of them?
