In other news, if you missed previous posts, I've been doing a work-a-thon of character drawings for the current series. Sue Z. June will be tweaked a bit, as will Germaine. (Germaine will take a bit 'cause it's one of those 'character development' things)
Other characters I've been working on:

Begley. (Probably should get him in an episode soon)
Hatta' (Needs more drawings for episodes & more episodes)
Pilz-E (Same as above)
Mammed Udi (Will get some tweaks but will generally be 'that guy in the diner')
Pizza Guy (Meh, he's kind of a schmuck, so no rush on him)
(and yes, everyone else, but keep in mind, everything is hand drawn, so adding new characters is a ton of work)

I experimented with different styles recently to see if I wanted to rework the series or start another version of it, but frankly, after a good week of analyzing everything and getting some feedback from viewers, the current style matches the vibe of the series fairly well. That 'cutesy' anime-like style just didn't convey the jittery / nervous / anger of the characters, and that odd chibi/cute style just doesn't work for anything aside from little comic strips or something. Besides, the hand drawn stuff not only adds unique visuals with every movement, it also gives people the opportunity to buy original artwork from the series when ever they end up on Etsy. Personally I was always amazed by animated cells you'd see in galleries or online, and since 99% of animation is digital... those collectibles just aren't made anymore. So at least the hand drawn artwork gives people a tangible one-of-a-kind item to own.

So that's where things are now in my head.

For those wondering what will happen to the alt styles... I'll still use them for web comics and I've slowly been compiling a library of assets for the visual novel I'd like to work on. Also maybe some stickers or something :)
