Anyway, with Twitch inevitably cracking down on folks using music for their streams regardless of purpose, I'll be using my own! (Nothing fancy, just some music from the "Chibi Music For Chibi People : Neurotically Yours" album.) I'll create some stuff for the intro and outro, which is all I would have used music for anyway, so it shouldn't have a big impact. The upside to all this is, I can generally save a TON of time after the stream by not having to edit out certain things. So basically I can stream, and assuming it goes well, use Twitch's export to YouTube feature to have VODs available a few hours after the stream rather than next day.
What I would normally have to do is edit, encode, re-encode for upload, Upload to both Twitch & YouTube for a total of 7-8 hours post show stuff. That's a lot of time. The one drawback that folks may have to deal with is the lack of editing. Meaning if there's some sort of long pause for a technical issue or something, it'll remain in the VOD. Not sure if this is a good trade off, but I can get a ton of work done in the 14 hours a week it would free up. So here's to productivity! (For those who don't want to deal with the lack of edits for whatever reason, I'm going to try my best to eliminate down-time while live. But hey, it's live, who knows what will happen :P
