The Secret Garden #120 + #121 "A Little Thief - Pt 6” + Author Chat (Patreon)

Hello loves <3 This will be my last post before this Patreon page is paused (for March, in case anyone missed it), and just some final thoughts from me to wrap things up. It might get a little somber because I’m in a rather somber mood right now, so skip this if you're not in a great head space at the moment <3

“A Little Thief" started out as a fun project I was super excited to work on. I knew y'all wouldn't be seeing Poppy and Tora in while, so I really wanted to create a new mini-series for you guys instead of single panel NSFW illustrations. And, I was feeling really inspired by this storyline I came up with (which I think is super cute!) - even wrote out the entire script in a single sitting. So really, I started out all pumped and wanting to get this out to y'all as quickly as I could.

But along the way, a string of stressful life situations cropped up - which is fine, but it ended up draining all the creative energy from me. Every time I worked on the episodes, I'd end up staring at a blank canvas, or drawing and re-drawing a single panel for hours, and ultimately not being able to produce anything solid.

Today's episode is much shorter than I'd intended for. But...I’ve decided to stop flogging this dead horse. So I'm gonna put it aside till I gain more creative momentum. And just as well, because Patreon will be paused in a few days time, anyway. In any case, this isn't the final episode so I'll pick it up again when I get back.

Anyway, I wish I didn’t have to end on such a solemn note, but all in the spirit of maintaining honest conversations with you guys. On the bright side, I think having a complete break from everything, including Patreon, will do me much good and breathe some creative life force back into me again.
