About the new Tax on July 1 (Patreon)

Hi everyone,

You probably might've been notified by Patreon about this some time ago, but basically Patreon is required by new laws to impose a sales tax on Patreon pledges starting from July 1. This heavily depends on where you're at; within the U.S. only about 50% of patrons will be effected because this law applies to about half the number of states, outside the U.S. then it really depends on each individual jurisdiction. 

I was advised by Patreon that the impact is minimal even if there is a tax, and most won't notice it. Anyhow, I was given the liberty to work out what's being taxed, so of course I did my allocations in a way that saves you as much money as possible. I do this by breaking the tax evaluation of each tier into two components: payment for the content and payment as a donation.
