Kitsune & Buni =Beware the Wish Granter Neko= (Patreon)

Okayyyy after like an entire year (sorry) a brand new (technically) Kitsune & Buni arc (parentheses) has started!! wooooooo!!!

When I originally made this chapter back in 2019, I honestly wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with Kitsune & Buni. After some stories and volumes that I considered "pretty lackluster," (read the og webcomic before this arc you might see what I mean) I was losing steam for the duo once again. They might’ve ended up falling back into dormancy/gotten canceled if this arc, specifically the latter half, didn’t turn out the way that it did. Honestly it's pretty crazy to think back that there was a time where Kitsune & Buni just didn’t really work, failed reboot after middling revival for like 5 years straight until 2019 where I "finally got it right," and now I absolutely love the both of them.

Maybe I could show some of those earlier incarnations here at some point. Anyways, long story short, this arc (at least in the original comic) is where Kitsune & Buni really started, so going back and remaking it has been a nice reminder of how things were at the time. It also helps to know that after this arc, there'll only be one arc left to remake before we can finally start seeing some new stuff!

Also Kitsune got a bit of a redesign just kind of on accident (Oval eyes instead of circles, Bigger arms, Thinner eyebrows), you can kinda see it forming during the last two panels of "Go Fish" and his panel in "Dangerous waters" though it becomes more obvious later on.
