Book Description

-------

A shapeshifting duo, consisting of a Kitsune and a "bunny" called Buni, that love doing all kinds of dumb things together. They may differ a bit in terms of hobbies, dislikes, and quite obviously, appearance, but no matter what death-defying journey they end up in, there’s no one they’d rather pair up with than each other!

New gods, new people, odd problems. After “the faucet incident,” Dex has to get used to working with another Demi-god, an oddly friendly one at that. Meanwhile, Kitsune meets another multi-tailed fox that seems to like him quite a bit. Luckily, Buni is there to be his wingman, and general love advisor. Though, who’s to say that, Buni isn’t struggling with a different kind of love herself?

Featuring a compilation of various Kitsune & Buni comics.

-------

So! Almost a year later and volume 2 is finally here. It probably would have been done by April in all honesty if I hadn’t been working on Cookie volume 2 at the exact same time. (Piece of advice: never work on 2 comic projects at the same time, they'll just both take longer to finish)

You'll probably notice that "love" is a big part of this books theme, though thats not just "romantic love." "Platonic love" is shown through Buni's support of Kitsune and helping him prepare for his date with Onsune, as well as Kitsune, in return, giving Buni comforting at the end . But the biggest love them is probably "self love," something both Buni and Onsune (and to a lesser extent, Dex) struggle with.

Theres also some new characters introduced in here!

Kinjuni is a Demi-god who recently ascended to godhood after her untimely death, which was caused by the sudden thunder storm in the first book after, Kitsune unclogs the weather faucet. Her robe design is representative of this with the dark purple symbolizing storm clouds, and the yellow stripe down the middle symbolizing lighting. Actually, all the Demi-gods get their clothing fashioned after how they died. How did, Dex end up dying? You'll find that out at a later date.

She's actually pretty happy with being a Demi-god, since she always felt her life was so limited before she died. She doesn't appear a whole lot in this book, but in the next arc, "Wish granter Neko" she has the staring role, so if you're interested in seeing more of her, there is that.

Of course, the rest of the book is focused on the second new character...

Onsune! She's a cafe owner who lives in, Grizzly Town. She doesn't seem to have any other family members to speak of... Well, an important thing to note is that, she's a kitsune! Wonder where she came from...Well, i'll let the books contents give you an idea as to who Onsune is so you can find out for yourself...

Spoiler territory

-------

Okay, so this book marks the very first time that the "Time-Bunnies" are mentioned (and seen briefly in a small flashback), which is a big deal because they'll be pretty important in about 3 arcs from now and i'm sure you can figure out why. Because of that, I didn't want to give away too much info as to who they were as a group, mainly just implying that they're the reason Onsune's mother is missing and why Buni looks the way she does. Of course we'll find out more about them later, but it wouldn't hurt to give out a little taste for whats to come.

--------

At any rate, i'm super happy to finally have my third book out! I'm probably gonna take a break from Cookie volume 2 for a bit before I finish it in order to focus on First Star for the time being.

Behind the scenes stuff will be posted in the coming days if you're interested in that.

And with that, Thank you all so much for your support! Hope you enjoy the book!

OH MY GOSH, I read through my first ever Kitsune & Buni comic… & I absolutely loved it! So many short yet fun stories that keep building up new lore, character developments, & genuinely sweet / humourous moments all around. There's so much I'd love to say… but if I did decide to put that into one message, you'd be basically reading one of your own long posts. *light chuckle*
