Welcome to the elemental phase of the program. Make sure you have completed the introduction phase before starting here.

We’ve made it through the introduction, congratulations! By now you should have a very specific daily plan put together. Something that you are going to do every day for the next 10 weeks. If you haven’t, prioritize that before moving forward. You need it to continue. 

For the next four weeks, alongside your own targets, we’re going to have elemental focuses to help keep the plan fresh and exciting. This week it’s Earth. This week is about grounding yourself. Being grounded can mean: Being present in your body and/or feeling connected to the earth.

You are ungrounded if you:

  • Get distracted easily
  • Space out
  • Over-think or ruminate
  • Engage in personal drama
  • Experience anxiety and perpetual worrying

The focus areas are as follows:

  • Clear your mind,
  • Recharge your energy,
  • Strengthen your instincts, and
  • Calm your emotions.

Much of these things you can accomplished by following simple steps:

  • Take quiet personal time for yourself.
  • Get the rest you need to function.
  • Try mindful meditation or stretching.
  • Think and reflect before taking action.

We’re putting together a podcast for this week to discuss some ideas on how to do this. It will be posted shortly. No exercise video this week, but don’t let that stop you from reaching your own targets.

This week’s challenge is a great one and requires very little commitment. Simply take 15-seconds sometime during the day to reset. Find a quiet space, sit, breathe slowly and deeply and count to 15. Then continue with your day. Feel free to repeat this exercise if you find it helpful.

So, let’s review what we need to do this week!

  • Start your new 10-week course with your own goals
  • Track your 15 lives. Remember if you miss a goal, you lose the day and a life.
  • Try to ground yourself using some of the ideas above.
  • Complete the 15-second challenge.
