(SFW) Dark Armor Squad (Patreon)

Okay so, bit of a history behind this one...Originally it was a sketch I made literally years ago during my time in Fire Emblem Heroes. However, as the extra two pics show, I never really got around to doing much else with it.

This was partly of course, due to the fact that I fell out of FEH.

And I fell out HARD, as anyone who knows me can attest. So frankly, even to this day, I would rather shoot myself in both legs than give that flaming dumpster fire of a shithole skinner box of a game even the smallest IOTA of acknowledgment, which unfortunately this pic does, as it's a team I was putting together back then.

Fortunately, my recent SFW jobs (thanks to all you kind patrons, you know who you are!) was enough to interest one of my $70 ones, and after some discussion, ended up showing them the old sketches for this, and they offered to make that my job for them this month.

What you see here is two days worth of a trip down memory lane, a significant amount of revisiting and re-examining personal trauma, and the experience of lining and tweaking the artstyle of 'me' from 4 or 5 years ago.

I'm still far from ever being over it, and frankly, I will continue to despise FEH and everyone of the braindead corporate shills that continue to play and make excuses for it (how's that fourth anniversary paywall treating you, lmao)

But I have to admit, I'm really proud of the work on this. The flames were an especially nice touch for me, since I managed to make the colors flow into each other, BK's red into Grima's purple, then pink, and then into Hardin's eerie blue fire.

And speaking of Hardin, I will not apologize for that pose, you cannot convince me he doesn't rock that Freddie Mercury stache XD

Yes this is a joke 4 years old if we go by my original drawing time, but man I don't care.

Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk, I hope you all have enjoyed this! Please don't use this as a suggestion to look into FEH, it's a bad game created by worse people, so please just enjoy the pic on its own merits, I'd really appreciate that ^^
