HG Gundam Calibarn preview (Patreon)

Hey all, just posting the Calibarn that HobbyCo sent me to build last month. I will release this on the blog when HobbyCo receive their stock and post it on their instagram.

This is my first "full" photoshoot including poses since the Miorine I did up back in January/February. I am getting more used to the new photobooth and finding the right settings that I like, although it feels that each shoot can need different settings on my lights.

Honestly speaking I kind of gagged when a couple of reviewers claim "this is the best HG kit of all time". In terms of gimmicks, yeah it is pretty cool, but as a build the massive seams on the backpack and gun instantly DQ it from what I would consider "best". I would put Lfrith Ur in the WFM line above this, and the Moon / Varguil best overall.

White - Mr Color 306 then GX White

Red - White Primer, red brown preshade, starter white, yellow prehighlight then shine red+gx harmann red

Yellow - White primer, orange preshade, starter white, gaianotes orange yellow + bit of yellow light coat, white+yellow+bit of orange yellow highlight, then original orange yellow mist over

Grey - Phantom grey, zeon ms grey + bit of white highlight, then phantom grey + bit of black post shade blend
