Build no.8 for 2024 is done!

I'm still feeling slightly demotivated after the disasterous GP02 build, so I started this 30MS as a side project to help get my spirits up. Even after this leisurely 9 hour build I'm still not feeling quite the levels of motivation of 2023 so I think I will need a lot more of these smaller projects to get back to where I used to be.

I decided to try something different with the white by preshading with pink then covering with white to give a bit more of a pinkish tone. The limbs on the base kit are black plastic and I was worried that it would not get covered very well but I think it mostly worked out.

I think I also managed to color match the plastic flesh color pretty well, if I were to try mix this one again I would use less Lascivus Peach and start out with White or Yuupa White as a base and then add orange / red to it.

White

White primer -> Mr Hobby Concert Zaku Pink + Foundation White preshade -> Foundation White highlight and cover

Hair 

White primer -> Mr color 528 + hull red preshade on shadowy areas -> starter white cleanup -> cover with base coat (opacity)

Skin tone 

Yuupa white + Mr Color Lascivus Peach + bit of orange + bit of shine red + bit of orange yellow

Shadow color = add purple to skin tone

White primer -> spray shadow tone on shadow areas -> cover with skin tone

Light pink 

White primer -> Mr Color Pink + Yellow -> Yuupa white + base mix highlight + tiny bit yellow -> postshade blend

Dark pink (Flight pack)

White primer -> Mr Hobby Color Lunamaria Red base coat -> add white + yellow highlight -> postshade blend

Light pink 2  (chest)

White primer -> yuupa white + mr color pink + bit of yellow -> postshade with the mix from (dark pink highlight) -> add more yuupa white highlight
