I was waiting for Hill House to drop! I second watching the other works by this creator, Mike Flanagan. They are all so good! (Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, and The Fall of the House of Usher. He also did The Midnight Club, but it unfortunately got canceled after one season.)

Ugh - another amazing episode. I think how they mapped Shirley’s relationship to death over the years is beautiful. I think a lot of people are pissed that Shirley sent Luke away during Nell’s wedding, but I couldn’t sit here and say I would’ve done it differently. Obviously, Luke deserves kindness, compassion and patience and the opportunity to celebrate with his twin, but I understand why Shirley couldn’t give him that in that moment. She’s apparently bore much of the financial burden of his treatment, and of course there is the mental and emotional toll that addiction takes on a family. She was cruel, but she was done, and I don’t blame her for it.
