Honestly, I don’t blame Richie for not giving Carmy the letter. I love Carmy very much but he is a walking disaster and always five seconds from having a breakdown. I don’t think it would be good for him to just find that letter on his desk. I think Richie should give it to him at some point. I know there’s never a “right” time to get something like that that, but I definitely think it’s a “deal with it later” sort of thing.

While I agree you never know what people are going through, and that there is much more to Richie's character, that doesn't excuse the way he speaks to people, and the way he acts.
