yasssss new shameless!!!! kev and v are some of my favorite characters and its hard watching veronica struggle through the early stages of motherhood... kev is also so supportive so he just wants the best for everyone and obviously his kids! i think this is just a result of bad communication. kev is very easily influenced i think its well known loll :( i dont really agree with how v and fiona reacted to the whole svetlana thing.. excluding cutting debbies hair because that was wrong (im so glad we are seeing more svetlana i love her!!) i do also think kev was wrong to do all that behind her back. ian this episode :(( its hard seeing him go through this. also fuck that pastor for being a creep! that whole plotline was just crazy! and i love mickey sm (im just obligated to say this every ep) i just wish he knew how bipolar disorder works. sheila was killing me this ep!! her feud with sammi is genuinely hilarious and i think i enjoy it sm cuz i despise sammi. the lunch with frank's donors parents was crazy lmaoooo sammi is just so intrusive and irritating. looking forward to the next ep!!! ughh i love this season smm no matter how many times i rewatch it (and thats ALOT lmaoo)

great reaction!! the kev and v stuff is hard to watch. but i also think svetlana is treated pretty unfairly. she's just trying to help. her overstep was probably breastfeeding somone else's kids obvi but the haircuts i don't understand the fuss. kev wanted it, debbie wanted, and it's their hair -- i don't think anyone else should get a say in that. but i also think V's upset about that was coming more from the babies and her other struggles. I also kinda hate how much Fiona and V put down svet for being a hooker. not great feminism! and svet was the only one giving debbie an educational sex talk -- we obviously didn't see the whole thing but it clearly included safe sex, which is absolutely what debbie needs to hear. the continuing spiral of ian is also heartbreaking. i would hesitate to make any joker references, just because ian's manic and dealing with heavy real world issues and the joker is something else entirely but definitely a serial killer so those comparisons aren't great. I definitely recommend watching those joker episodes of Gotham!! Cameron's great in them. mickey's whole plan to go after the pastor is brilliant lollllll. i wish we got more of those friends of ian's though. i kinda assumed ian knew them from his time at basic?? but one has a Chicago Fire shirt. they're all gay so maybe ian knows them from working in boystown. regardless, we don't get to see ian and mickey around other gay people a lot, so i wish these friends weren't so out of context. and that we got more of them. that scene between fiona and sean is really great. i appreciate sean standing his ground. i always assumed that fiona took her monitor off because it was technically scheduled to come off that morning but the offices were closed so she just did it. thats kinda on the probation people for messing up the schedule, so i never saw it as a big deal really. but idk what the rules and protocols are, really. there's some nuances to her and sean's conversation and the moment in the bar that aren't necessarlly wrong, but definitely worth noting, i think. i like that sean eventually says that none of it is fiona's fault, though i think he could have said that earlier. she's not doing anything wrong, but sean has his own boundaries he has a right to, and i wish he emphasized that more instead of putting a lot of it on fiona herself. same for the ending -- that situation at the bar was not caused by fiona but by the creepy guy dancing on debbie. fiona reacted the way she should have. so idk ... i think this episode was trying to make a point about fiona's penchant for chaos but i feel like there are better examples of that in other episodes. sorry for going super long though!!!!!!! a lot of good stuff in this episode that allow for interesting perspectives.

2023-12-24 15:34:39 at the end of the day debbie goes to people like svetlana and mandy because they're actually willing to listen to her without judgement. fiona has good intentions but any change debbie makes is going to be viewed through a big sister lense which can be really suffocating. but i wish svetlana wasn't caught in the crossfire because she was genuinely trying to help, she assessed problems and found solutions 🤷‍♀️ i also definitely believe vee is suffering from postpartum depression
