This was fun! Murder House is definitely the best season of AHS. A lot of people really liked Asylum too but it's Murder House for me- love that you're watching! 😊 Agree that Ryan Murphy's ACS Versace with Darren Criss would be a great one to do some time. It's a mini series- I think maybe 9 episodes. Also if you guys have not watched Stranger Things...you really need to! The newest season 4 is mind blowing - and may even involve some "crunching bodies" 😝

Funny you mention it but I happen to have the first season ready to watch lol. I have seen it before but absolutely think it’s worth rewatching from the beginning. Hopefully that won’t be a problem for folks that I’ve seen it already. Not sure when I’ll get to it but if folks are down, I can get on it next.

My favorite seasons are 1 (Murder House) and season 3 (Coven). I think the first season may have come out about 2012.

Welcome to my comments that include, over sharing, talking too much, and tangent rambling.... I'm sorry in advance. First off, I know other people have clarified, but what Audrey was talking about was American Horror Stories. Which is lowkey annoying bc American Horror “Story” has always been AHS. But the newer show idk what people are calling it AHS(s)? Regardless Audrey’s “American Story Stories” would be ASS. And yeah, let’s watch ass tonight. My bestie who is a twin and was a ginger (darkened over time) was mockingly offended by your judgement 😛 Jessica Lange (Constance) looks fantastic for her age. She was 62 at the time and stayed on the show through season… season 4? but came back for season 8? My memory is terrible so don’t quote me on that. One of my bestie’s fave movies is Tootsie so I’ve seen her in that sooooo many times. She still seems exactly the same. A little older in looks but not in spirit/acting. Frances Conroy (Moira/housekeeper) is fan-fucking-tastic. I love her in almost everything. That is actually how her eyes look irl. She was in a bad car accident and had damage done to one and that was the result. While it’s creepy-looking-ness is A+ addition to the show, her acting is spot on and amazing in this show. I was 10 when the new “Miracle on 34th Street” came out. I saw it in the theater with my cousin. Dylan McDermott (Ben) was in it. Before I realized I was gay af…. I was super swoony for a very specific type of guy as a kid. It started with Pierce Bronsan in Remington Steele and Dylan in that movie reminded me so much of that. Dark hair, blue eyes, romantic, gentleman, usually very pretty with long eyelashes and pretty hair and omg should have seen it coming…. SO the first time I tried to watch AHS and he was pounding away at his student…. I was traumatized. I feel like the version you guys watched was NOT the one I saw. I remember it being much more graphic before she sliced him in the beginning. Which was fucking awesome! I can’t even remember if Lady Gaga sings in “Hotel.” I’m sure she does. That would be a wasted opportunity if not. BUT season 4 “Freak Show” has a lot of singing in it. I know Audrey already reacted to Jessica Lange singing in Asylum. But 4 has Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and Even Peters sing. There’s also some singing from Even Peters and Frances Conroy in season 10 (which honestly might be the best part about the season….). You NEED to talk Audrey into watching Coven (s3) with you. It doesn’t have the same feel as typical AHS seasons, but it’s one of the best ones. It could have easily stood on it’s own as it’s own show. Plus it’s heavily referenced in season 8… which kind of touches on EVERY season. There’s a lot of crossover between seasons, but you REALLY have to put in the work to find them. Besides, Coven is just fantastic. There’s a lot of history about New Orleans in it and when I went a few years ago, I got to see a ton of places from the show and learn more about the (loosely) historical references in the show. I admit I never watched Glee all the way through when it was on air, and I have only been watching the stuff I haven’t seen alongside Audrey’s stuff. So, I’m not like Ryan Murphey expert. BUT there are a few things I’ve read/heard/noticed between the shows. There may not be a lot of character crossover (though I do see some in later seasons). BUT it seems like he was much more aware of the mental health of his actors on the set of AHS than on Glee. It might have been just other members of production, but I’d like to think the conditions that created the “Glee Curse” were addressed and improved. Which really shows in the actors themselves. I know there were roles he had in mind for Taissa Farmiga (Violet) in other seasons that he decided not to give her bc he didn’t want to put her in that “headspace.” And, Even Peters (Tate) has said that he finally had to take a break from the show bc he kept getting cast as “dark” characters and found himself a little lost in them. Like he’d have major road rage and that was something he recognized wasn’t his normal self and asked for time off. I lowkey feel like people are leaving the show now bc it’s a sinking ship, but that’s just my opinion. Her older sister Vera is in a ton of horror stuff and looks so much like her. Bates Motel, The Conjuring, Orphan, etc. Okay, so… you mentioned watching scary movies on shrooms. I have only, unintentionally, done shrooms once. I didn’t realized they were mixed in with some weed. And HOLY FUCKING SHIT, they are sooooooo not for me. That was the worst trip of my life. Bipolar + severe anxiety + hallucinogens is maybe not the best idea. I wish I could have had more fun on them, but yeah no. It was a damn nightmare. Will not be experimenting with those lol You guys are so fucking close on the future of demon/leather baby lmfao I can’t even… I’m so glad you’re watching this and can’t wait to see more puzzle pieces fall into place as the seasons go on. Also, very much Lydia (Beetlejuice) vibes from Violet and her dresses and goth-ness. Also, I mean… if EVERYONE got a dog every time they suffered a trauma I, personally, think the world would be a much happier and better place. Audrey’s “seal” “popping” noise, legit made me choke on my own saliva. Dammit you two are too fucking funny!

What Audrey is remembering is American Horror Stories. They’re like standalone episodes. The first episode of that series explored Murder House of AHS season 1.

This was fun. I agree with Audrey this was the best season. Another thing that it would be cool to check out is the Murder of Gianni Versace. If she thought this was different wait till she sees Ryan Murphy turn one of her Glee kids into a serial killer. Congrats Danny on getting the new channel going. I’m sure you will have fun.

No this was separate from American Horror Story. This was a miniseries starring Darren Criss made by Ryan Murphy and team. Darren won a ton of awards from it.
