There's no guarantee of success if Syd goes with Shapiro, but I think the big draw is how much creative control she would have, because Carmy's basically taken over the menu at The Bear. Also, from what I understand, Carmy is much more involved in service then you average exec chef, Shapiro even says it 'I don't want to cook every day.' She would, in theory, have complete freedom to do things her way. She says as much to Carmy when she talks about why she set up her catering business, she didn't want a psychopath yelling at her and telling her what to do anymore. The Bear was meant to be that but slowly the partnership is failing. I think Richie's dissatisfaction with service when he talks to Nat, and the fact he still isn't talking to Carmy too is telling. I wouldn't be surprised that, if Sydney goes, he leaves with her.

Catching up after a few days of not being able to watch your reactions and year grief has no timeline. i feel like eventually you just learn to cope in ways that allow to have more good then bad. my grandma past away 3 years ago and she was more of parent to me then my own in a lot of ways. we were super close and her passing actually estranged me more from my family then bringing us together. so much like you i didn't really have anyone to talk to. i've buried myself in media as well followed instagram accounts dedicated to grief and listen to podcasts that talk about grief. it helps me know that im not alone in the way that im feeling. if talking to us helps you then don't ever feel like you have to stop.
