Currently in the middle of watching. Theon Greyjoy isn’t a bastard. He is full highborn, but it was something that they did back then when they overthrow a house/king, they take one of your children and keep them prisoner so you act right. Theon was just sort of lucky that he was placed with the Starks because Ned Stark was a good man. That’s why it kind of seemed like he had a better relationship with the Stark children than Jon Snow did and why he treated Jon so terribly, because he’s a high born lord. If Theon was a bastard, his last name would be Snow too. I promise that’s not a spoiler. It’s something they’ve talked about in season 1 and they don’t really go over the bastard name that much if you haven’t read the books.
