The way that this was literally two endings for the price of one is crazy, I feel like episode 23 could have been the finale, but the same is still valid for ep 24 which is rare for me to say, but hey, we got two endings purr 💀💀💀💀 Anyways tho, the way Thorfinn never backs down, the way he managed to change Canute and be the other voice in his head that can somehow lighten the darkness that Canute is in is so beautiful to see. I get that Canute has good intentions but his intentions become meaningless when the way paved to them is filled with gore... it makes no sense. I also get that he's trying to 'save' the unloved aka the soldiers, but in how the fuck are you going to forget everyone else around them? i get that he thinks that they're already saved, because theyre peaceful, but does that justify brutally fucking them up in this life? Nop. 

Also the way that both Thorfinn and Canute admired each other really shows that there are redeemable sides to each path chosen to the same goal, im sure a lot of people don't agree with Canute's ways but also the same can be said for Thorfinn, but that moment where they appreciated each other weirdly felt symbolic in their acknowledgement of the validity of each others' choices and path to take for the same goal.
