This so beautifully encapsulated Frieren's need to believe in heaven so that she can see her friends again. I feel like Frieren is so aware of the pain of being an elf that you can't even spend your lifetime with those you love; you spend thousands of years without them, which is so painful. I think it was beautifully shown through the priest's need to believe in the Goddess. It's also crazy how he called Frieren young, like my guy; how long have you lived? My man said, "See you in a few centuries." like? Frieren has only said 50 years. So based on that, I'm gonna assume homie is like six times her age, which makes him like 6000 or so years old? MY GUY.  ARE YOU GOOD?
