Bram

The comments that were talking about something being removed were refering to Akutagawa´s smile as he was dying. I too was hoping for years to see that smile animated, but it wasn´t. Honestly Bones (and the author, who supposedly oversees the animation project) have been cutting some very signicant parts of the story, I understand that there are several factors to that (time, budget, etc), so I´m not getting mad anymore. Anyways, we´ve finally surpassed chapter 88!! Now my pfp makes sense. I really like Bram as a character. In the manga, he has such sad eyes. The saddest I´ve ever seen, thats what caught my attention. I hope the author gives us more of his story. We´ve had some, but I would like to know more (and it seems it´s going to happen). Lastly, it´s ok to have hope for Akutagawa. Nobody knows for sure what will happen to him. imo after the arc´s completed, he should stay dead. I think he has done enough. He fullfilled his promise to Atsushi, which got Atsushi and the world an opportunity; he was humiliated, ignored and abandoned by the only person from whom he seek recognition; he supported and sacrificed for the person who got the place he so much desired and in his last moment all Akutagawa did was smile at him (manga). From my point of view, he has completed his role. Also, he may have died thinking he didn´t get Dazai´s recognition or that he was inferior to Atsushi (bcs Dazai told him that), but at least he proved himself (and the audience) that he was above all that, and I think that´s the most important thing. Most of the fandom doesn´t share my opinion, but I think that would be the best way for the story to go. Dazai hoped that Atsushi and Akutagawa were the new generation of Double Black that would solve everything, but if that´s no longer an option... How are these characters going to handle the situations from now on? I think that´s an interesting perspective to explore. And I would like Akutagawa´s absence to hurt. For him (or his absence) to be a crucial moment in the story, like Odasaku´s.
