OH MY GOD. SUBARU IM SO HAPPY THANK YOU FOR SAVING OUR BABIES. THANK YOU. Emilia has grown so much and I'm so proud of her from learning from subaru and genuinely choosing to be stronger and face her fears. Thats not something simple or easy. Tbh Subaru is what real love is, he is honest, even if he thinks something negative of Emilia. Whereas Roswaal just follows anything Echidna says. Thats not love, thats obedience. I just- think he's very confused and I'm so so so thankful that Ram is someone we can trust this time. I was so fucking concerned to be honest, but I'm happy she sees Roswaal is doing some weird shit and knows its not him. But genuinely. Im starting to think that Roswaal became the Devil of whatever like that guy Hector, the devil of melancholy... inchresting.

In defense of Roswaal's claim, for the majority of the time he spent with Subaru he was kind of the same, pushing his ideals of Emilia as his dream girl onto her and assuming she would just accept all his attempts to meddle and protect her without explanation. Much like how he didn't want to accept that Emilia had changed I don't think he could see or accept that Subaru had changed for the better as well.

Not much to answer this episode in terms of questions, but there is one thing I would correct, Faroh. Roswaal didn't cause what happened to Ram's villiage. The reason he says he is one of the people is because his book told him about the attack in advance, he had the power to stop the Cult before they did anything, and chose to instead do nothing. All because his book told him to allow the villiage to burn so he could acquire Ram. Apparently she is just as important to his ultimate goal as Subaru is. The only reason he was okay with offing her in a previous loop is because he believed that loop to be beyond salvation and that Subaru would redo it and fix everything. As an odd aside, Rem was never mentioned in Roswaal's book when he saved Ram from her village. Roswaal chose to save Rem himself, not because of his book.
