March Update (final Chapter 3 update?) (Patreon)

This post contains minor spoilers for the upcoming Chapter 3 update, including new enemies and locations.

Hi everyone! It's hard to believe another month has come and gone... unfortunately, Chapter 3 is still not ready for release. A new chapter is an overwhelming amount of work, with all the code, writing, music, and project management that goes into such a substantial update. As usual, I want to thank you all for your continued patience and support as I continue to make this update the best it can be. Believe me when I say I'm doing everything in my power to get this chapter completed as quickly as possible, while not sacrificing quality for time. With enough time and care, this has the potential to be the best update yet, and it's thanks to YOU that I'm able to afford that time and care.

On top of the Haremon workload, I've also got a lot going on in my personal life right now. I don't like to talk too much about my real life here, but suffice it to say, my living situation and mental health issues are also contributing to the slow progress on chapter 3. However, I'm still working hard on Haremon every single day, and I'm hoping to be in a better place in April after things have settled down for me a bit. If all goes well, I'm really hoping to have this update ready by the end of April.

With that out of the way, let's get on to some more teasers! At this point, I've shown pretty much everything I can show without getting into full-blown spoilers, so there won't be a ton of new stuff to tease this time around. But I hope it's enough to whet your appetite in what (hopefully) will be the last update post before Chapter 3 launches!

New music—Above, you can hear another new track from Chapter 3. This one is called "Drudgery", and will play in the new Office dungeon. It's got a chill, lo-fi sort of feel that reflects the drudgery of working at an evil corporation... or infiltrating one.

Believe it or not, there's still several new music tracks in chapter 3 that I haven't shared yet, including an epic 10-minute-long boss theme. Yeah, I may have gone a bit overboard with that one... but I think it paid off, as it's probably my favorite track in the game so far!

Promo image—Here's the official promo for Chapter 3, which will be used in the build's Patreon post and related social media posts. As far as new stuff, you'll see part of a new background, as well as some bits and pieces of new enemies, if you look closely.

Chapter 2 environment art redraws—All four Underworld background redraws are complete! I think they look incredible, and really give these areas a much better atmosphere than before. These will all be included in 0.30. Next up, our new environment artist will be tackling the Longwood backgrounds (bedroom, lab, shop, etc.) so expect those in a future update!

New Moves—There are a ton of new techniques added in 0.30, including several for the new Haremon, as well as some for existing girls. For example, check out this deadly new move that Circe can learn, which is "inspired" by a popular anime...

And this move, which is one of 3 new moves that the Kitsune can use to change the elemental type of all her sword attacks!

I hope that gives you an idea of how substantial this update is, and why it's taking so long to finish. Once again, I want to apologize for the long development cycle and express my sincere gratitude to those of you who have continued to support the project through this brief dry spell. I sincerely hope you'll all agree that it was worth the wait when Chapter 3 launches!
