Starting development on a Jrpg style H-game figured I'd go ahead and announce it here! Title pending.

Something I've always wanted to do was develop a videogame. I know a bit of RPG maker MV so I figured it would be the application of choice to begin developing on. Not to mention the idea I had for this game was a JRPG, which RPG maker excels at creating (thus the name, RPG maker)

The story starts with the awakening of demon lords across the land. Each Demon lord has the goal of taking over and becoming the next demon king and they do so using powers unique to each demon lord called "Domination". Each one dominates their territory in unique ways to them. Such as Power, Money, Pleasure, etc. They are constantly at war with each other to try and take over the world with their form of domination.

You play as the last demon lord to awaken, and by last, I mean WAY last. Everyone else has already established their territory by the time you wake up. Your goal is to establish your own castle, dominate the other demon lords and become the next demon king. Of course, this being an H-game your specific form of domination is probably self explanatory (hint: it's your penis)

At the same time humanity is creating saints and heroes to try and deal with you and the other demon lords.

I want you to be able to do demon lord type stuff like kidnapping princesses, building a castle, fighting heroes and causing general chaos.

As for how the H-content will work I'm considering doing my animations as I've usually done them. I did a paint over for a few character busts themselves since I felt that the hand-drawn look would suit it better for a game and I wanted to get a feel for the aesthetic. Though my skills are quite lacking. I'm testing out just doing the paint over or using AI towards the end to clean up my poor line quality. My drawing tablet is 10 years old though so I'm holding on to the copium that it's my tablet and I have a new one coming in the mail.

The other idea is to stick with the hand-drawn aesthetic for both the busts and the h-scenes. Which would mean little to no animation or learning a new way to animation just to animate 2d.

Speaking of animation, don't worry I'll still be making scenes. I just like doing it too much (in fact I started on another one yesterday as you know from the WIP post)

I mainly just wanted to gather what people think about this. If they'd like me to post WIPs on the game as well. Or maybe I open up for community contributions? Like character or mechanic ideas? The whole thing is still in a very fluid stage where I'm rapidly making changes and shifting ideas. Mostly trying to find my footing.

Consider this devlog 0 instead of devlog 1, where I'm establishing my intention rather than showing off any created features yet.

Sorry for the long post, let me know how you feel about me pursuing something like this!
