Valentines Confession: Animation + scene data! (Patreon)

Finally managed to finish this in time!

I was even working on it a bit today. I definitely started WAY to late though. If I was smart I would of started last month to make something longer, and more complex.

Still, nice to take a break from commissions and knock out a personal project from time to time. My next commission after this is to make a character

I actually think it came out really good though. I think putting the extra effort into expressions paid of greatly as well as focusing on layering the anim so I can include more swaying/twitches. Usually I spend 90% of the time on the motion and then give it a bit of layering, but this time I swear I spent most of the time on layering. Results are excellent IMO. I will definitely be taking what I learned here into a longer animation down the road.

The only part I'm somewhat disapointed in is the chain itself. There's no real way to get solid rope physics into studio so I'm forced to have it pulled tight the entire time. If I gave myself a longer window to work with I would just manually animate the chain though. For those curious I have the chain connected to a "lookat" gimick told to watch the males hand and his hand is told to follow her neck. I then can layer anim on top of that using the folder trick to give a bit of control to the hand. The only problem with this technique is sometimes dramatic or sudden movement causes the hand to bounce awkwardly or clip with the chain. 

Next time I try something similar I'll either manually animate the chain or just exclude it all together and have him just grab her bare handed.
