That performance TBZ did was so beautiful and different. I loved it so much! I think I rewatched both this and the ONF performance equal amount of times so for me they are joined winners. Pentagon...hmm..I was not so keen on the arrangement but I also not the biggest fan of the original song. I did really enjoyed TOO and verivery performance. They were just so much fun. The desperation Pentagon had about winning I found a bit odd. TBZ and ONF by that time also around for 3 years had not had the success they had. You know what I mean? Or maybe it was just MNET editing...?

The songs for the finale are all original for the show (same with Queendom), I'm sure some were songs already in a pipeline for the groups moved up to be a new single but until they released the songs at the end of ep 7 no one had heard the songs, while for some groups they are fan faves to perform at concerts these finale songs aren't treated as normal comeback songs just one time promoted digital singles.

At the time this show aired The Boyz were already far outselling the other groups and had show wins unlike Pentagon or ONF. Pentagon had roughly debuted a year prior to ONF and ONF-TheBoyz had like a 4 month debut gap, but ONF fall into being a part of the 3rd gen 2017 groups (3.5) while the discourse around Boyz debut was that they are 4th gen being after award cut off of 2017 so even though ONF and the Boyz arent that far apart, ONF kind of got treated as being "older". So its a bit understandable why they feel tad more desperate and Pentagon even more so being from a bigger label than everyone there and still not having the success their sunbaes have (and even hoobaes g-idle had already had wins before this show), and good old Mnet is always gonna play that up even more.

What I found the hardest for the Road to Kingdom was basing the ranks on thr accumulated scores. TBZ grabbed so many points from the start (which their performances basically deserved) that no one could really catch up.

Also, Pentagon was under so much pressure to be the best from many at the time, that they were treated as losers at the time for "not doing better".
