I am closing down the Patreon 🙀 (Patreon)

I've been meaning to put this out since the beginning of the month but I've just been kind of putting it off inadvertently

It's no secret I've been sort of just on and off pausing for a while now, and that's because I've been running a little personal experiment. August 8th was when I put out my first Patron Promo just a little over 2 years ago, and I've given it the ol college try

Although I definitely do wish I had done some things differently, the final point is really just that I actually kind of dont like running a Patreon. From an objective standpoint it would be much better to keep it running and just kind of tighten up my schedule on here so I can get a little extra money for about the same workload as a relatively big commission every month, but I just kind of don't like doing it.

I've never wanted to pursue art as a job and the longer it goes on the more it just started to kind of feel like a part time job when I think I would just be happier going back to being a "free" artist

I'm probably going to do more YCHs and stuff in the future, might finally open comms, but I just want to kind of do my own stuff again without thinking of the Patreon content

I'm not ruling out the possibility of reopening, but for now I'm gonna unlaunch the page 💪😼

So, I'm gonna be working to get the stuff I officially owe out, and I'm gonna be posting a bunch of WiPs and finished pieces as they come out while it's ending

I'm not 100% sure when I'm gonna be closing down shop for sure, and I don't know for sure what I'm gonna be doing with the Tier 2 Variant Packs when I do, but I'll send out another blast when I'm getting ready to close it down officially- probably next month.

It's been pretty cool running it, though! Gonna try to continue some of the aspects I liked about it going forward just in a different context

Will probably have more to say when it's officially going but thank you to everyone who's ever given me even just a one-time 3 bucks! I really appreciate it

That's a bummer to hear, since I really do like your work, but I also understand and respect your decision to close up shop here. I can only imagine how stressful it is to run this, and you aren't the first artist I've subscribed to who has bounced from here, either because it isn't worth it anymore or because Patreon is being Patreon. Good luck with everything going forward.

this is such a shame!! but it's best for you to move on rather than burn out tbh, so it's completely understandable. I hope your art is still accesible though! I don't use twitter for spicy stuff so I hope this closing down and Deviantart not being an option doesn't make it harder to see your stuff! Have you considered making like, a personal discord server so folks can still engage with your stuff directly? is there anywhere else you'll be posting your personal projects? :o

I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm glad you made the decision that brings you the most happiness. Even if you close patreon I would like to be able to continue supporting you in some way if possible, since you are, without a doubt, my favorite artist, and I want to continue supporting you in some way, in any way if possible. In any case I hope that whatever you do brings you the greatest happiness possible <3
