Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia - An Empty Tome [METAL VERSION] (Patreon)

Hey everyone. Happy New YEAR!!!! Here 's the the first official metal cover of 2023 for me which is the absolute banger known as AN EMPTY TOME from Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia!

I wanted to go into the new year doing something insanely epic, so I realized that we haven't voted on a kick-ass Castlevania theme since we started the voting council. This felt like the perfect time to do that and I'm very happy with this banger of a theme being chosen to cover!

This theme is all about the huge driving percussion section that's raging throughout the whole piece. There's a lot of cool sections in this theme where the percussion and bass guitar are taking the reins and It was up to me on this arrangement to come at it with that same ferocity on the rhythms to keep that epicness level just as high! It was so fun laying down all of the parts for this and I think you can hear that on the song!

I also wanted to kick off 2023 with a couple of (hopefully) improvements to some of my tones! Just a couple of small changes but I think we landed on a really solid mix here to kick off the new year and I think I'll be carrying forward these new mixing settings and see if it ends up being even better than what I've been doing before mix-wise. A lot of that is gonna depend on you guys and what you think so let me know! :D
