Metroid Prime - "Omega Pirate Battle" [METAL VERSION] (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of the OMEGA PIRATE theme from Metroid Prime!

I'm so stoked to be back here on YouTube and I figured for my epic comeback video, we would do one of my favorite boss themes of all time from my favorite game of all time!

This theme and this fight in general was an iconic memory for me when I was younger playing this game for the first time. The fight was TOUGH and the music really sets the mood for your experience taking on this beast of a boss. 

The music itself is amazing because they bring in that classic metroid prime atmosphere but they make it significantly more badass and evil sounding in a true boss theme fashion.

So for my arrangement, I wanted to come in just absolutely swinging with a huge guitar riff that compliments that bass-line in the original. But alongside that, the challenge here was nailing that huge atmosphere you have on the original. The dense layers of choirs, strings, pads, synths and percussion all drowned in reverb was really tricky! But I'm so happy with how it turned out after some insane mixing and turning knobs for a few hours!

Overall I'm so stoked on finally taking on this boss theme as it's one of my favorites and It feels great to be back here on YouTube making some bangers for you guys! I hope you enjoyed this cover! Let me know what you think :D
