Splatoon 2 "Acid Hues" - Tabs, Backing Track & MIDI (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track and MIDI for my metal cover of Acid Hues from Splatoon 2!

Rhythms:

Style - down picking, big chords

Difficulty - 4/5

Our riffs here CAN be a bit tricky at times, but it's nothing absurdly crazy. The trick here is to get the tightness down on these riffs with muting the strings properly and having a good technique on the picking. We then have some crazy chords during the chorus section that are definitely not the easiest thing in the world. And then immediately after, we have a thrash metal section where we're blazing fast alternate picking and quick chords within it. Definitely not easy stuff here so take it slow at first!

Leads:

Style - unique rhythms on the melodies

Difficulty - 4/5

Our leads here are also pretty tricky! The the quick speed of this arrangement definitely plays a role in that challenge. But our melodies here overall are so unique and they bring out some playing styles that I'm personally not used to and I think it's safe to say not many people have done melodies like this before rhythm-wise. That makes it a blast to play though so don't be discouraged! Just take it slow and focus on the picking hand getting those quick clusters of notes tight together.
