DELTARUNE: Chapter 2 - "Pandora Palace" [METAL VERSION] (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of PANDORA PALACE from Deltarune Chapter 2!

It feels great to FINALLY cross this amazing theme off my "have to cover this" list. SO much of Deltarune Chapter 2 consists of absolute bangers of themes and this one is definitely one of them! It's always amazing how both Undertale and the two Deltarunes manage to have their area themes slap just as hard as their epic boss themes. That's seriously a huge nod to how talented Toby Fox is as a composer.

This theme really caught my eye with how insanely energetic and up-beat it is. It goes insanely hard even in the original format and I knew I would have a blast putting some thrashing guitar riffs to this piece. And oh man, was it a blast! It absolutely destroyed my picking hand when I was recording it cause the raw speed of this piece is truly insane! I did make it a bit harder on myself by down-picking basically everything but it really does make it sound like 5% better so it was worth it for this amazing theme!

The melodies as well, oh man! That's nothing new for Undertale and Deltarune stuff though. These themes have some of the most nutty yet amazing melodies on them. They always challenge my usual knowledge of how to play stuff and throw some serious curveballs at me. But I love that about these themes. Being able to learn some new licks is always a great thing for a guitar player and I always have a blast playing these songs.

The last thing I loved about this was getting to use HARPSICHORD again. It's probably one of my favorite things to add to a metal song. It works so well with guitars and that absolutely had to be there as it's super important to the theme on the original as well. That was a huge plus for me to cover this theme!
