Lufia II - "The Island In The Void" [METAL VERSION] (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my Metal Cover of the absolutely EPIC "Island in the Void" theme from Lufia II requested by Hobzilla!

It feels great to return to this amazing ost. Doing the boss theme and battle theme a while back produced some of my favorite riffs on my channel ever! This ost truly knows how to write some amazing parts that translate perfectly to guitar, whether it was intentional or not!

This theme in particular was really fun in contrast to the other themes cause this one is more about being a bit more groovy and arguably even MORE riff-focused. That main motif of the theme on the rhythm guitars was a blast to play and oh man, the leads. The leads were insanely fun! 

That main melody makes an appearance all over this theme and what I wanted to do was figure out how to play it multiple times but not just copy / paste it all over. Instead I decided to play it in different octaves, starting with a take on that melody in a lower register giving it a much fatter sound. I wasn't sure how this would turn out but I immediately knew it was amazing when I was laying down that first take. I love how it turned it into a straight up epic groove metal track right away.
