Hollow Knight - "Hornet" [METAL VERSION] (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of the absolutely legendary HORNET BATTLE THEME from Hollow Knight!

It feels amazing to finally take on this iconic soundtrack. This game and it's music are absolutely beautiful. And this battle theme absolutely slaps. It has that perfect blend of intensity but also beauty. The original is all about the marriage of stringed instruments with piano so it felt perfectly natural to translate those epic strings into some epic strings of my own!

For my arrangement, I wanted to really play around with some timing and have some fun with it! The 3/4 time signature lends itself perfectly to the progressive metal sub genre and I wanted to dive right into that! 

As far as the parts go, MAN are these some insane melodies. I made a joke in the comments section of the video basically wondering how many actual individual picked notes there are on this song because it's gotta be at least 5. Every part of this theme has at least one guitar that's absolutely shredding out of it's mind and I love it! My picking hand was absolutely on fire after that recording session but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I had such a blast working on this awesome battle theme and I hope you enjoyed it as well!
