Chrono Cross - Final Boss Theme (Dragon God) [METAL VERSION] (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my METAL VERSION of the Dragon God Final Boss theme from Chrono Cross requested by Jon B!

I had such a blast on this arrangement. This theme lends itself perfectly to metal with it's very driving and epic melodies and rhythms! I was immediately super stoked to get working on this when I saw this request!

I went into the arrangement knowing that I wanted an absolutely pounding rhythm section throughout the whole piece. I had a blast figuring out some heavy riffs for this and the drums in particular were a ton of fun to arrange. Triplet feel with drums is always a treat to come up with stuff!

Orchestration-wise, this was also a blast for me! This theme has a lot of really cool orchestra parts which I felt that I definitely needed to include in my arrangement as well. We have stuff like strings, choirs, harp, woodwinds and probably more that I'm not even remembering right now. It was a lot of stuff! Like I was saying on the final master post, I used to be really intimidated by having too many layers in a theme but I feel like my mixing skills are at a point now where it's no problem having this many layers as long as I know what I'm doing with where to put them in the mix! It's a huge game-changer for me being able to include this kind of stuff and make the arrangement absolutely huge!
