Mass Effect 2 - "Suicide Mission" [METAL VERSION] (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of the absolutely epic SUICIDE MISSION theme from Mass Effect 2 requested by Mockingjay N7!

This one was absolutely NUTS to work on in the best of ways. The 7/8 timing really switched stuff up for me and took me out of my comfort zone but I'm super happy with how it turned out and I feel like I really made some strides to improve my arranging and production throughout this whole process. 

Guitars wise, it was an absolute delight to lay down some super epic huge chuggy riffs over these epic melodies. And then getting to basically make an entire orchestra on top of that made it truly something special for me. Normally the guitar element of my covers is the thing that I spend the most time on but I feel like in this case, the guitars are rocking out while a TON of layers of orchestra are popping off on top of them. It was really cool to switch it up like that!

Production wise, I also had a blast mixing this beast of a track. I ended up having a ton of fun with some effects on some lead guitar parts such as the phaser on the end of the track that instantly gave me vibes like it was turning into a Tool song before my very eyes haha. And with that happening, I suddenly felt an urge to dial in a completely new bass tone and try to level that up a bit. So I think the bass guitar on this track sounds absolutely awesome and I'm really curious to hear what you guys think about that!
