Friday Night Funkin' - "Thorns" [METAL VERSION] (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of the absolutely epic THORNS theme from Friday Night Funkin' featuring my main man FamilyJules!

This theme is another one that absolutely stood out to me. The week 6 tracks overall have a really epic quality to them that I love (looking at you Roses as well!)

This theme is definitely all about just being an absolute metal banger. It has that phrygian vibe melodically which basically means it's gonna sound epic and metal as hell; perfect for my style of playing and perfect for metal in general!

I went into the arrangement knowing exactly what I wanted to do just making it super driving and crushing. I had a lot of fun experimenting with the lead guitars on this one letting notes ring out and having Jules come in and do his thing on them as well. There was so much potential for adding some more texture with the guitar playing instead of simply playing the melodies and I'm glad we took advantage of that. It felt super natural since I do stuff like that all the time with my own original pieces.

I had such a blast working with Jules and Corey who filmed us on this and I'm super proud of how it turned out. I'm hoping it has even remotely close to the amount of positive reception that ROSES had and then i'll be completely satisfied and happy. Roses absolutely popped off in engagement on my channel and I'm very thankful for that!
