Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of Prison Lane from Sonic Adventure 2!
This is yet another example of how enjoyable it is to cover songs from this god-tier ost. The tails levels in particular have some of the tastiest guitar rock and arrangements from Mr. Jun Senoue and Crush 40. This theme is easily a stand-out track from the ost!
I went into this arrangement wanting to really capture that iconic melody that gives you that dose of nostalgia right off the bat. But alongside that, I really wanted to introduce some extra heaviness into the arrangement later on in the theme. I elected to bring in a FAT breakdown for the palm muting riff towards the end of the arrangement and build on that. This is definitely something that I think brings it to a whole new vibe and makes it almost a straight up death metal theme alongside being very epic at the same time.
I had such a blast working on this amazing theme and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
