Mega Man X "Chill Penguin" [Metal Ver.] (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of the absolutely epic CHILL PENGUIN theme from Mega Man X!

This soundtrack never fails to deliver some great times for me when working on it. Every theme is so iconic and has their own things about them that make them stand out and feel special. This theme, Chill Penguin, has just that, a very chill vibe to it while also maintaining a driving and crushing feel all the same.

I went into this arrangement ready to shred my face off. I wanted to keep that same almost latin vibe for certain parts there on the drums but I definitely wanted to add in my own guitar parts particularily in the rhythm guitars where I could bring in some super heavy riffage and add a layer of brutality to these legendary melodies.

Mixing wise, I had a blast working on this one as this is the second cover I've made so far since switching over to Reaper to make my covers instead of Pro Tools. It was definitely a huge switch for me but I think this cover solidified me making a substantial improvement to my mixing and I think from this point forward, my covers will continue to sound even better! I'm very happy and excited with how this turned out audio-wise on top of the playing.
