Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI file for my metal cover of Banjo Tooie's ISLE O HAGS theme!

Rhythms:

Style - bluesy, heavy chugs, triplet feel

Difficulty - 3/5

Our rhythms here are a BLAST to play! That being said, we do have a FEW challenging sections that might be tough at first for some newer players. But I definitely think everyone should take this on as it's so fun to play once you get it!

We begin with some tricky clean chords that will make your fretting hand jump around a bit. This is already one of the tougher parts of the song are jumping around these intro chords.

We now have our verse riff where it gets super crunchy. This part is INSANELY fun. but get ready to use your pinky a lot on these extended chords.

Now we have our pre-chorus where we're playing some tricky chords and ringing them out over each other.

Finally we have our chorus section where we play some more tricky stretchy chords. and that's about it!

Leads:

Style - bluesy, melodic

Difficulty - 2/5

Our leads here are absolutely amazing to play. And they're slightly less challenging than our leads which means I think most newer players will find these melodies easier to play than the rhythms in most cases!

We begin with the iconic melody but we're starting it off in a super low octave, making it a bit more jumping around the fret board.

Now we have the same melody but higher up and it's a bit easier to play up here.

Next is our pre-chorus where we're playing a very wacky melody that will be weird at first, but it's very easy to play once you get used to it!

Now we have our chorus section where it gets a bit more wild. We have some very fast sweeping arpeggios that will be super challenging to those new to sweeping. Take this part slow! On top of that, we have another wild Kirkhope melody that jumps around chords and modes all over the place.

And that's about it! I hope you enjoy learning some of these riffs and licks. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message on here or Discord!

Enjoy and rock on!

~ Jack
