Pokemon Gold / Silver / Crystal [METAL] "Trainer Battle Theme" (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of Pokemon GSC's "Trainer Battle" theme!

Pokemon battle themes are just the best. It's always such a joy to put together arrangements of these absolutely incredible compositions. They always give me a really fun challenge on my guitar playing as well with these insane melodies layered on top of each other. 

Gold Silver Crystal in particular though  has such a fantastic soundtrack.. I always felt like GSC had the most "metal" themes in the game. Like if you listen to Dark Cave, that sh*t's SO heavy.

So I knew that we were going to have a blast on this, doing the straight up trainer battle theme! It's very similar to Red Blue Yellow's theme in terms of the pacing

What I love about this theme however even compared to RBY, is how the mood changes so drastically throughout the piece. We begin with some very heroic melodies, getting you excited, but then you have that next section that's down right evil and heavy as hell. Then we get super heavy but ultimately build up to this amazing climax that feels heroic and triumphant.

I did my absolute best to capture those feelings in my arrangement and I think I nailed it pretty good! It was a pleasure doing this whole arrangement on stream and seeing everyone get really excited about it alongside me!
