Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI file for my metal cover of La-Mulana's INTERSTICE OF THE DIMENSION theme!

We have some amazing riffs and licks on this awesome theme. Let's dive into them!

Rhythm:

Style - thrashy alternate picking, super fast, big chords

Difficulty - 5/5

Our rhythms here are NO JOKE. It's difficulty lies in the raw speed of the picking. As well as some riffs where we're jumping up and down the fret board super fast.

We begin with our main riff which is the toughie. It's very fast alternate palm muted thrash picking. Think metallica, megadeth, slayer style. Just blisteringly fast. The chords are also very big but luckily we can bar them with our first finger pretty easily.

We then have our pre-chorus where it slows down a bit but we do some funky chords here and again it's just super fast.

Then we have another variation of the main riff only this time we're stretching our fingers super wide and dit's actually arguably more difficult than the main riff.

Then finally we have our solo riff which is very similar to our main riff only a tad easier.

These are all difficult riffs but they're super fun! I still encourage everyone to try it and take it slow!

Leads

Style - melodic

Difficulty - 3/5

Our leads are significantly easier but definitely not the easiest thing I've done. We begin with a tough littler diminished lick then go into our main riff.

The first verse is easy here, we're ringing out some  epic notes over the blistering fast rhythm guitars.

Now we have our pre-chorus where we're playing a more-technical lead pattern and also harmonizing it.

Now we have our next main riff where we're playing basically the same notes as the rhythm guitars only without the blistering fast picking as the rhythms.

Now finally we have our solo section. The first half of this part is the same as the original which makes it actually way harder than a solo I'd write probably. At least it was super tricky for me as it was some licks I'd never think of trying ha!

Then that's about it! I hope you enjoy learning some of these riffs and licks. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message!

Have fun and rock on!

I have a mission now.

Two questions real fast. 1) Is the backing track missing? 2) Okay, in measure 4, you've got five different frets held down at once on the rhythm guitars, and I legitimately don't understand how that's physically possible. Does that technique have a name so I can look it up and practice it for a few years? It seems that that was before the camera turned on so I can't even tell what you're doing there... it sounds sick as hell, though! Worth learning, apparently!

Hi Zach! That was actually a mistake! very sorry about that. The chord you're talking about it all 6's on the first 3 strings going up. I just replaced all of the files as well as included the backing track. Sorry again for the mistake and let me know if you have any more questions!
