Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI file for my metal cover of the Rayquaza Battle theme from Pokemon ORAS!

Rhythms (7 string)

Style - heavy chugs

Difficulty - 2/5

Our rhythms here are, for the most part, super straight forward and great for newer players to get going on some heavy metal riffage! We begin with one of the hardest parts of the song however. The intro riff involves some very quick and precise alternate picking. This is what would be considered a "djenty" style riff here.

But now we have our verse riff which is a very straight forward and fun riff. Just chugging away on the 1st fret and down picking everything!

We then open it up a bit on the second half of the verse with some open chords strumming.

Then finally we have our chorus which is the easiest part of the song because it's mainly just big open chords. However the second half of the chorus features that iconic pokemon Root / 5th fast picking which will be a challenge.

Leads:

Style - chords as a melody

Difficulty - 1/5

Our leads are very straight forward as well! I'd say even more straight forward than the rhythms for the most part.

We begin with our main verse which is playing chords as a melody. You're moving the same shape up and down the fretboard for the most part.

We then have our harmonies that come in and play the same melody only harmonized now as single notes and transposed up a few notes.

Then finally we have our chorus which is very straight forward and it's a super sick melody.

That's about it! I hope you enjoy learning some of these riffs and licks. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on here or discord.

Enjoy and rock on!

~ Jack
