Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI file for my metal cover of Gods Bound by Rules from NIER!

Rhythms:

Style - big unique chords, palm muting riffage

Difficulty - 2/5

Our rhythms here are, for the most part, super chill. But they're insanely fun! This is a great song for a newer metal rhythm player to learn some valuable techniques and stuff to practice their riffage on.

We begin with a big open chord section then going into the next part where we're playing the main chuggy palm muted riff that occurs throughout most of the arrangement.

We then go into our melody which the rhythms continue chugging away but it slowly builds up the riff until it opens up into a big progression of fun chords.

That's honestly about it!! The only thing to watch out for is the fast alternate picking section. That will be challenging if you're a newer player so make sure to take that slow!

Leads:

Style - fast picking, octaves

Difficulty - 3/5

The challenge of our leads has a wide spectrum here. Much of this arrangement has some very beautiful and simple melodic parts. But there are also some insaaanely fast shreddy parts. So let's break it down.

We begin with a really fun slower melody. This is a great lick to learn to get your fretting hand moving and get usage out of the pinky. Would highly recommend!

We then go into our break where the percussion comes in. This is where that blisteringly fast melody comes in with all sixteenth note picking that occurs throughout most of this arrangement.

But on top of that part, we have a really cool octave melody that's signifigantly easier and is really fun as well!

That's about it! If you have any questions on this really fun arrangement, feel free to hit me up on here or discord!
