Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night's "Dracula's Castle" theme!

This theme was such a blast to work on. It's an epic theme that works flawlessly for metal. The original already has elements of metal within it so it was my job to take that to a new level of pure metal-ness but without compromising what makes the original so awesome and epic.

I spent a lot of time on the rhythm section of this song trying to do that exact task. The drums were a ton of fun to work on because the main sections have a really straight forward part but there is a ton of opportunity to have some double bass parts and some banging drum fills all over the place. This alone felt like it took the arrangement into hyperspace with the drums alone.

The guitar licks, goes without saying, are absolutely amazing. The melodies are iconic on this theme and there weren't any challenges or struggles with shredding these beautiful parts. That mid section melody was particularly amazing to play with the pedaltone on the open string. I love stuff like that!
